A wise man or woman adjust oneself to conditions like water is complying with the pitcher .
This adjusting is in bad odour nowadays, not everywhere , but especially in the prosperous, modern, individualized world. Adjusting is not good at all.
Standing up for oneself, opposing something, doing your own thing, anyway.

The wise man or woman is adjusting oneself to the
circumstances, is meaning accepting what can not be changed, but in the
meantime retaining his or her own strength and merits. Like water is doing in a
pitcher.
But the own strength and merit are not affected, but are better coming to its right. Because when the time comes , there is water showing its value. Is there the wise man or woman: alert and ready and willing to show and express his/her strength and merits.

Therefore advice of this saying to mankind is: do
not break your head against the hard wall . Accept
what is indisputable and spend your energy to what can be changed.
And time will show what was disputable and what was
changeable.My blessings to you all
