Be master of your inner world (Patanjali, 1)

Patanjali “The only worthwhile accomplishments are not those we achieve outwardly, but the victories we win over ourselves.”

The only true victory of a man is when he conquers himself. Patanjali has proclaimed this to mankind  already a few thousand years ago and in the last century it is repeated in the west by Paramahansa Yogananda, the great Eastern yogi who has enriched the West with his eastern acquired knowledge and insights.
Man is a marvelous creature, full of dreams and insights and talents.

Specially wealthy countries in the world have become masters of the matter, of technique, of science, of human knowledge, of democratic developments.
This is a true achievement. The successes of mankind on practical, social and economic fields, made mankind recently believe the world was manageable.

The persistence of poverty in the world, unrest in a lot of countries, the environmental crisis and the economic crisis show mankind there is still a long way to go. Mankind could be helped by this ancient wisdom of Patanjali.

"The only worthwhile accomplishments are not those we achieve outwardly, but the victories we win over ourselves"

It is a spiritual law that the outer world more or less corresponds with the inner world.
God says simply this to you: when you should tackle the turmoil and chaos and confusion and limitations in your inner world, the outer world would certainly respond. Of course not directly because the relationship between the spiritual world and the material world, between the inner and outer world, between mind and body is a complex one and is depending on many factors.

Victory of the inner world? What can that be?
Why don’t you look around: people are generally spoken well dressed, well fed, well educated, well housed and well informed.

But at the same time you all are very much struggling with your attachments and addictions.
  • Seniors who drink too much
  • Children who have overweight
  • Smokers who can not stop
  • TV viewers going to bed tired after 6 hours a day watching passively, cluttered with advertisements and moderate programs
  • Parents of children with two jobs, two cars, two holidays a year, who “are loosing oneselves”
  • Overcrowded shopping centers and empty churches
  • Economic growth as the only foundation of society
  • The environment as the victim of this growth.
This rich and saturated outer world, silted up with luxury which has captured your heart, at the expense of the inner man, has had of course its day. We, in the spirit, are already seeing the dawning of a new day, but for you people the night is still ahead and to overcome.

Our advice is consider your inner self and look around and see the desperation of the vulnerable, the turmoil of the elderly, the powerlessness of the youth. The attachments, addictions and the despair resulting from this are controlling you more than you want to admit.
Create for yourself inner calm and silence and space and wisdom.

I would love to tell you "how much hope and future and happiness" is lying in this ancient wisdom of Patanjali, more relevant and necessary than ever.

My blessings to you all

Warning mankind against her selfishness (Tweet from God, 7)

"You all do wander through life superficially. Look around, see your fellow man? Do not pretend as if you're alone on the earth"

This tweet from You is fascinating. Would You like to comment on it?

Many people are denying the uncertain and dynamic world by behavior on the run. That is the subject of this tweet, and it relates to many people, not just to young ones, not just to you in the west, but to the rich in the rest of the world as well.

Know, that you all are exhibiting the same behavior as the rich did in the past, through out the centuries up until ancient times. But you are with so many now!

You exhibit behavior on the run, which is characterized by indifference, selfishness and losing oneselves in the pleasures of materialism. And when one flights, one walks away from something, and that is the suffering of others, both people and all of nature.

The great, unspeakable suffering of others, people with a confused mind, the lonely elderly, in eldery homes as well, the starving people in the world, the slum dwellers, refugees,  workers and peasants exploited by large corporations, the congested nature, the infinite tiling of your poor soil, the use of your cars as if they aren’t at the same time devouring and contaminating everything, the noise you’re causing in the poor world.

"You all do wander through life superficially. Look around, see your fellow man? Do not pretend as if you're alone on the earth"

How long do you shut yours eyes to the exploitation and negligence of the poor and the nature in the whole world?

Don’t you know then how
  • The fruit from the third world is smeared with blood money of poor farmers
  • The cheap meat in supermarkets cries about the suffering of her animals
  • The cheap textile usually is made by low paid workers or child labor, and burdens seriously the environment
  • You gasoline, and the ease using your car, is at the expense of the environment, the clean earth, the clean air
  • Any toys, bicycle light with batteries, each blackberry, each luxury gadgets seriously contribute to the pollution of the earth
  • Your holiday behavior with gasoline-guzzling planes contributes as well to the extinction of species
  • Your children perish in the plastic toy crap
  • The nature and its flora and fauna may have reached its limits for a century ago
  • You all together have chosen a dead end ?
This is how We observe it.

And God does not want to scare you, but warn you, wake you up, and is asking you: don’t you have a bond with your environment, your fellow man, with nature, with the plants and animals?

You are a householder, who only cleans up his living room and neglects everything else in the house, so everything is dilapidating, rotting, decaying and the moment is coming even the clean and tidy living room will suffer the consequences of leaks , clogged ducts, short-circuit and tiles blown away by the storm.

"You all do wander through life superficially. Look around, see your fellow man? Do not pretend as if you're alone on the earth"

God tells you: you are closing your eyes, you behave yourselves as ostriches, you are running knowingly to the abyss.
And God tells you: the abyss will come absolutely, because even a child can realize this is not the right way.

Consult yourselves, because God has given you brains and a conscience and compassion and responsibility. Use it!

My blessings to you all

Young people and their smartphone friends (Tweet from God, 6)

“They say young people are too busy with their iPhones and twitter, but they opt for full-time link with their loved ones, the large family revisited!”

Would you like to explain Your tweet about young people and their smartphones?

Of course.
Young people, especially in the West, have a name for being individualistic and only concerned with their own pleasures. I see it differently.

Young people today are growing up in an exciting and changing environment. Everything is open, there are endless possibilities, they are free to choose for all kind of education and work and some even have money to travel a while. This is all nice and fun and better than the possibilities of their parents and grandparents. That is a fact. From this point of view they have more opportunities, more wealth, more choices.

At the same time the world has never been so pessimistic about the future, the environment, and the opportunities for mankind to overcome this all. Environmental disasters, earthquakes, forest fires, wars, potential conflicts and all the bad news worldwide, waving into any "living room", suggest young people have no future.
And of course young people do respond on this humanely: gloomy, perhaps resigned, despondent, boisterous, sometimes aggressive.
They respond as well in a individualistic way, sometimes selfishly and indifferently.

But they are extremely concerned, in every case deep down inside. That's what I observe.

"The youth of today" with their selfishness and their aggression and materialism, that picture is a one-sided and unjust image of the youth, especially cherished by older people.

"They say young people are too busy with their iPhones and twitter, but they opt for full-time link with their loved ones, large family revisited!"

But people who have regular contact with young people know better.
And God knows better, because God sees them in their hearts.
And even though I also see their attachments and modern addictions and their shortcomings, this all I let to pass. Her and know We do the positive perspective.

And one aspect of the heart feelings I want to discuss here.
With their smartphones young people have created a new social world, with their friends: the new large family, a youth village, where one is available for each other day and night, where one communicates with each other, joining each other, having fun, celebrating life and supporting and helping each other out of problems.
A wonderful new world of group power, group dynamics, new norms and values, a social control, which consists of respect, freedom, communication, openness and permanently available friendship.

Who wouldn’t like this?

My blessings to you all
