What is the use of running when we are on the wrong path? (Gandhi)

 I like to do that.

Gandhi says, ask yourself what you're doing and why? And then could you get sometimes surprising answers. Why surprising? Because the issues of the day are still powerful, even in these times where people are educated, hear the world news and seem to have a choice.
But this is not often the case, having a choice.

Much of what modern man does is more defined by the ads, by the compulsion to enjoy a lot and the feeling that is forced upon everyone that your present life really is not satisfactory, actually is boring. The suggestion is supreme, that life really is not as dynamic without bungie jumping, without an exotic trip or without the latest smartphone.

And by wondering why you do the things you do, an honest answer is: because it has to, because everyone is doing it, because you would lack otherwise.

And if you wonder quietly why you do the things you do, why you are running, why you're in such a hurry, it turns out to be because you are expecting a big job, a nice car, a long journey to make you happy.

Because getting the object of your desire will make you happy.
And it is not true, simply not true.

Oh world of longing, with its ever-receding horizon.

Oh world of longing, which causes you can only be happy when you pursue the desire, you can only be happy if you can finally satisfy the desire.
And that is certainly a big moment.
But shortly after a new desire is starting to come up.

Why? Because the habit of chasing desires is bigger than the habit not to.

Because the ego has started to believe (a new religion!) that the pursuit of desires gives happiness. But it does not give happiness only temporary relief. And the relief has become manifest only because one is one moment in the here and one has one moment no desire anymore, for one moment just being is the case. Because for a short moment there is nothing to do. Because for a short moment one can relax.

But then it starts all over again.

And that is why Gandhi says: stop running on a path that does not comply.
And I say, take another path, that of peace, of silence, of the here and now, of the inner self,  that of God. Because that's where desires have come to rest, that’s were one has stopped the pursuit of desire. That’s where one can discover and experience, that happiness is more dependent from letting go than from grabbing, more from being than from having, more from inner peace than from outer experiences.
Gandhi is blessed.

The most personal bond between God and each human being

Once the time will come churches, religions, ministers and priests, imams and pastors will have disappeared from the face of the earth, such as the ink pot, gas lanterns and wooden bicycles.

But in the meantime in this world in the here and now this can be said:
Nowadays religions and churches, mosques and temples are a necessary link for people to experience faith, to share faith, to be encouraged and to get a better relationship with God, Allah, Brahman, Yahweh etc.
That’s allright because it’s the reality. And the time has not yet come for a religion-free world, not yet. But Mahatma Gandhi, a great son of man, made a visionary statement that will be experienced by everyone once.

And more and are more men will follow their own personal path in their search for God, for the eternal life, for what is hidden behind the scenes of life, in their quest for the spiritual world on earth and in the spiritual spheres .

It does not seem so.

Because one sees fanatical orthodox Jewish believers, dogmatic Christians who expect an end time and the return of Jesus Christ, one sees Muslim terrorists and earthly caliphates.
Yet they all are oldfashioned, even though they will still shock the world with their fanaticism, their orthodoxy, their callous image of God.
They proliferate only just for a short time. Because mankind must heal his own cancers, willingly and later on unwillingly.

After the coming transition period, the New Man will stand up,  after a natural purification of the earth, after the temporary crisis in the field of economy, society, religion and the environmental pollution.

This man will have a different relationship with nature, with the inner self, with society, with God, a most individual band, where no one can interfere. But a band that shows respect and compassion for all.

God will be experienced exactly as Mahatma Gandhi has provided, namely in the inner self, in the heart of man, without the intervention of religions and ministers.

God has no religion

Mankind will be finally and massively have come to realize that God is not only residing in the distant universe, but also in one’s own heart.

And for the record, I sketch not heaven on earth, for the evolution of man, of the earth, of nature will require a much longer time before a heaven on earth will emerge. Man is not straightaway holy.
But very soon indeed the My God, the Spark of God, the Atman, the Adjuster will have acquired Its rightful place in the consciousness of almost every human being.

Comenius, a Gandhi of the 17th century

I would like to say something about Comenius, in the Netherlands a biography about his has been published. In English was published earlier:*

Comenius was ahead of his time, he had a hard life and was a voice crying in the wilderness, but also a bearer of light, a visionary who could see beyond three / four centuries, so it seems.

In his life he has suffered greatly.

He fled from the Czech Republic for the Catholic Reformation. In villages all young people were cut off an arm or leg by the Catholics as a warning. He had to flee. His wife and children, who had remained behind there, succumbed to the plague. Eventually, he has lived 14 years in Amsterdam in freedom and peace and died there.

What are his visionary performances?

• He discussed once for four hours with Descartes, who had the perspective of the ratio in man. Comenius argued that man is more than just a rational being, and that a society only based on the ratio sooner or later will derail, because it is one-sided then. He suggested a pansophic philosophy, with the purpose of improving the world and promote peace between people and nations.
• He developed a pedagogy that was very progressive at the time: schools were workshops of humanity, he argued for lifelong education for both men and women and wanted parents to play with their children, even now in some cultures a strange thing. Then it was very unusual.
• He wrote about a global "college of light," a kind of United Nations, but the belligerence that time came out on top of these ideals.
• He was already into ecumenisms: every religion was capable of contributing something good, and in one of his books is a carving,  made of by Comenius, of a monk and a rabbi debating with the Prophet Mohamed.

I believe he did interfere a few times with psychics and sects, so he did not stay the scientist he was. Well, oops.

Comenius was indeed centuries ahead of his time, he spoke of  things mankind is trying to realize nowadays. And he has suffered above average. But his suffering has not compromised his ideals, but strengthened them.

Comenius is after his death reunited with his wife and with his children, meanwhile grown up in the spiritual world. From out of the spiritual world he is one of the most influential spiritual protectors and inspirers of philosophy and politics. Especially in these times where the narrow principled capitalism is going to failure, his thought will be breathed new life. He was a holist, so he took everything into consideration, not just one aspect of man. Holism will take her flight.

God’s power can be used by everyone

The most powerful weapon on earth is the human soul on fire (Ferdinand Foch)

The human soul on fire is indeed the greatest weapon on earth.

Why?
Because a man set ablaze for an ideal, is allowed to make full use of the power of God. This force is given unconditionally because human free will is in the realms of God a holy thing.
God's power goes to a man on fire.
Whether it is for a positive or a negative purpose.
Hitler has therefore achieved so much.
Gandhi has therefore achieved so much.

God's power is available for a human soul on fire.

Then the power of will, ideals, energy and vigour are coming together in one stream of inspiration and deeds.
Did Hitler, however, reach as much as Gandhi?
No.

Hitler's fire was in the service of the ape of God, served an unholy purpose, and was the cause of much suffering but great insight for mankind.

Gandhi's fire was in the service of God, served a holy purpose, and was the cause of much happiness and great insight for mankind.

In both cases the power of God led to great insight for mankind. That is a law.

But Hitler did it with suffering and Gandhi with happiness.

So man is always God's hands on earth for the sake of insight for mankind.

Is God’s power used for the good, happiness will be in stake.
Is God’s power used for the bad, sorrow will be in stake.

But it will always lead to insight.

Therefore the ape of God is just the ape of God.
The evil doesn’t exist in favour of the evil, but in favour of the Good.
So for a soul in fire, everything is possible, for the benefit of mankind, and for the benefit of himself.

"Live as if you were to die tomorrow"

It would be a great stimulus for inner development, if the personality would consider this every day, live as if it were your last day. The real is then separated from the unreal, the important from the unimportant. You will reach then immediately the core of existence. Just do it, what will be the cost? Just five minutes a day, and it will bring you a sense of “the here and now”,of respect for life, the life that is given you by God and the "My God" of you all.

"Learn as if you were to live forever"

Considering your learning, or actually unlearning, you are strict and impatient and unloving to yourself and to others. We aren’t. We know you’ll need some time. You are having enough time. You're on your way. Our promise to you is a golden future for all of you. And the road to it consists of learning / unlearning in peace and love.

The way is the goal, the here and now, just being in love and grace.
