Some people lose diamonds in search of stones (Profound sayings, 2)

My God, I would like to ask You to go into this, but I suspect that the answer will be surprising.

My son, and so will it be, surprising.

Not some people lose diamonds while they are looking for stones, ALL people. All people are lost in their delusions and their wrongly directed will, oh certainly not always, but very regularly. All people lose diamonds while searching for stones, thinking they are diamonds and discovering later that they were just stones and that they have lost their diamonds while searching.

Poor man, poor Don Quixote, poor ignorant wandering foolish naïve man. But there are on his path so many temptations and beautiful and attractive things. We understand how things are going. We understand the searching man. We understand how and why he loses himself in his desires. We understand everything, always and behold man with the greatest possible love, with a love and tolerance and wisdom and gentleness to big to be understood by man.

How could it be otherwise? God the Creator and Its little former monkey, little silly creature. Little man who learns by losing his diamonds and by getting disappointed in his stones regarding them to be diamonds and who unlearns and who indulges then in insight and wisdom and then becomes a God.

All men learn to appreciate in life the diamonds of life, learn not to identify with their stones, which they consider diamonds and learn to make the distinction between these two.

Man is blessed in this quest.

The obstacle is the path (Zen proverb)

Would You like to comment on this proverb?

It’s true indeed.

The obstacle on the path is thus the actual task for man. How does he respond, how does he set about it, does he behave as a victim or does he make something of it?

But sometimes, the obstacle is a wandering path of misery and difficulties, and man drifts away from God more than ever. Of course never forever, because every detour is ultimately a path to God. But yet, what can man call out a misery on himself and his fellow human beings. What can the path of man through the obstacles on his way and his getting lost in endless addictions and sideways call out meekness and worries with his spiritual companions. It's not always good, on the contrary.

So there is a point in this proverb.

Certainly there is, because this saying evokes you not to get lost in the distant goal, for  the world of desire has an ever-waving horizon. And so you're postponing your happiness. This proverb calls you out to be alert, calls you out to be in the present, calls you out to say yes to everything.

For this is a thing, that much of your attention and energy and happiness are getting lost, because you are fixated on the goal of the path. And in the meanwhile, time passes, in the meanwhile precious moments in the present are getting lost because you do not pay attention.

Yes, paying attention is the proper expression. Because not only the obstacle on the path is an important issue, but a path without obstacles is an important issue too.

The path of man is all he has, really all. For achieving the goal is not always what it seemed to be. And the path, that's really all man has. Enjoy it, I may say, and say yes to the obstacles, in this way you are quite zen.

Is man not willing to give something for eternity?

I would really like to ask You something.
The world shows so much suffering,  among man is so much sadness, I observe in man so many troublesome influences and feelings and difficulties. And I do tend to say to You: “Why is it in this way,  isn’t it  inevitable? Couldn’t You create a world in which we are happy? In which we are a kind of angel?
And right afterwards I do realize it all.
We can and must become gods. And practicing is the way.
How can man ever become a cosmic being if he has not learned to organize his own small cosmos?

In his thought life?
In his emotional life?
In his lust life?
In his physical life?
How can man become a godlike creature if he has not first unlearned to be a slave?
Well, You are giving me of course this all, so I actually want to ask you: did I understand it all correctly?

You have understood everything correctly.
Man is a insignificant creature and will return to dust.
But at the same time earth has been created for man.
Contradictional?
No.
It is a line, a continuum, a process, a wonderful life ahead.
The beautiful but difficult path of man.

From dust to God.
From temporality to eternity.
From beast to spirit.
From nothing to everything.
From suffering to happiness.
From slave to freedom.
From ignorance to enlightedness.

Is man not willing to give something for it?

For man will be saved.
Saved from his temporality.
Saved from his dead ahead.
Saved from his lost state.

And this process is not an automatic one.
The man will be rescued and guided and encouraged and cherished and directed by God.
And God is dwelling for this purpose in his inner self.

And is Adjuster of his thoughts.
And is Guardian of his feelings.
And is Keeper of his body.
And is Inspirer of his spiritual body.

An is Creator of his soul.

Is man not prepared to suffer just a little bit for this?
Man is doing it for his eternity.
Isn’t this well worth the effort?
