Following Jesus' life as example

My God, I would like to say something?

In this Christmas season in which commercialism has taken over humanity I would like to reflect on Jesus' life, on his example as a human being.

This Christmas season may have a pagan background and actually be a celebration of the birth of the light. The Christmas tree may be pagan. The date of the birth of Christ may be wrong. What does it matter?
Actually only one thing seems to be important, Jesus was our example.
A man of love, a man of wisdom, a courageous person breaking conventions. Someone who was always willing to go to his Father for support and consultation, for trust and silence, for prayer and rest.

What would we quarrel if he is a creator of a cosmos, or son of God. If he is one of the great prophets or the Prophet. Will he ever box our’s ears that we did not know or did not believe him, did not acknowledge or understand him? He will only want to know if we tried to follow his example? Only tried so?

I am fed up with those religious conflicts, and that bickering, and whining about what to believe. I am really fed up with it. I do understand the atheists, who do not want have anything to do with religious fanatics who box each other's ears with their full or half-truths. Well, probably You will understand what I am getting at.

My son, it’s really something you are saying.

Jesus was a true man, a clear thinker, a true worshiper of God, a man of courage, a champion of justice. He was averse to hypocrisies and untruthfulness. He loved everybody being vulnerable, young or old, poor or sick, ugly or criminal. He knew in every person the promise of God to every man, to be allowed once to join the celestial meadows. And for this he served two goals on earth: to glorify God and to bring man closer to God.

And do not blame mankind, My son, she's just on the road.

And rest assured, mankind still has to go a long way, from animal to spirit, from struggle to surrender, from the outer to the inner, from earth to heaven.

God is man nearby on his path. Every person, at every step.

Jesus made great strides, but slowed his pace to join every human being.
In that sense he is Godlike.
For God slows It’s pace to bring along every human being.
For God knows man is pursuing only ONE course.
ONE course, ONE goal, ONE path, ONE promise.

I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me

Would You like to comment on this?

When Jesus said he was the way, the truth and the life, and that no one would come to the Father but through Him he meant this.

I will show you my life, that is one with the Truth.

If you follow my example, you will go the right way.
If you follow my example, you will live in truth.
If you do what I do, you'll walk a holy path.
If you do so, you will reach the Father.

Jesus did not say:

Pursue your fellow men when they do not believe in me.
If you believe in me, you are having the monopoly on truth.
Box your fellow men their ears with threats after my death.
Only people who believe in me, have the monopoly on truth.
This is what is created by fanatics s and shortsighted and insecure people.

Jesus said:

Be a man of love.

Know that God is Our Father.
Know that your fellowman is your brother and sister.
Know that all people are children of God.
Know that every human being, living God on earth, is a Son or Daughter from God.
Follow my example, for I show you how a man may live.

And know that the life of Jesus only has to be your example.

Therefore all those people following are living:

"I am the way, the truth and the life"

• a loving Muslim
• An open-minded Hindu
• a sincere Buddhist
• a truthful Jew
• a serious humanist
• an atheistic protector of nature
• a sincere politician
• a charitable agnostic
• an enthusiastic musician
• a cured felon, whore, addict.
• And finally, a hearty Christian.

A spiritual chapel is built in a Bulgarian orthodox mass

I visit the Bulgarian Orthodox Church "Archangels Michael and Gabriel in The Hague."
A friend of mine is having her icons blessed, which she painted for herself. *. Students of her painting class have displayed together over 40 icons, the one even more beautiful than the other.

We're early, and four hours later, we are leaving!

I've been too busy the past week, and I am having too many appointments this weekend. I'm a little bit tired and not very focused. And I am not at all into this endless religious stuff, not yet.

But gradually I get more and more impressed by the appearance of the church, the atmosphere, the beautiful icons throughout the whole church. I read somewhere "As the truth of faith is revealed to the ears, so she reveals herself to the eye via the icon" (Holy Basil, a church father from the 4th century). All those images and icons do have such a strong appearance!

The wonderful casual and unpretentious attitude of the pretty young priest making jokes in between and not performing holy-like at all, but in fact being very humble, is very special.

There is a lot of singing, by a small choir of men and women, and the priest for himself is doing a lot of singing as well.
And it seems as if the power of this little church is gradually growing.
Would You like to comment on what is happening spiritually?

What you have experienced is the building of a powerful spiritual chapel, touching all those present and in the wide surroundings with the energy of humility, devotion and trust. And know that the number of spiritual beings in the chapel, allowed to quench themselves, is many times bigger!

Because these churchgoers together are taking the time and because there was much singing, and because the priest was extensively taking the time to perform a large number of rituals, the spiritual world is able to continuously build the spiritual chapel.

After all, the more time and attention one spends, the more likely God has the possibility to reach you. And the rituals and all the stuff and all the walking and the opening and closing of the doors and curtains separating the altar from the people, alas, that’s what churchgoers need, We don’t. It's okay with Us. It is all about the time and attention and the dedication and the surrender of the people who call Us.

In this Bulgarian Orthodox Church, one allows one selves the time for it.

Isn’t this necessary for everything?
Does a good conversation not request time?
Should one not take extendedly the time for a big job as well?
Requires a subtle job not time and attention and concentration as well?

And that's what you are experiencing.

You are too tired and bring a lot of worrying and worldly problems with you, but even you have to surrender at some point. Everything is thoroughly and completely washed away and you too can physically and emotionally experience what God and Its helpers can do for mankind on earth.

And the atmosphere of the Orthodox Christian churches testifies like those in the Islamic mosques a great devotion and humility. That’s what God really likes.
The Bulgarian church in the Netherlands is blessed.
All the even recently painted icons are blessed.

How true is this.

This is our hidden deep sorrow.

You are living day and night in everything in, from and through God.

And you don’t see it hardly.
People do see the Truth sometimes and feel and experience it.
But they are an exception.
And from the world of flora and fauna we can stand it. They know the experience to live in God, but they cannot give it a name.
Man can give it a name and does not want it or is not up to it.

But can the spiritual world be really sad about this, is this not a silly human thinking?

Doesn’t the spiritual world see man is becoming, man is not capable of seeing God in everything, man is not capable of living in Truth?
Of course the spiritual world is seeing this. There is sufficient knowledge and understanding Here Above. We know what We are doing.
Still, the spiritual world is sad about something.
And that I will explain.

We are not referring to the people who God cannot see yet, because they still have a long way to go.

We are referring to people, who have experienced God, who have seen God, who have heard God, and knew at that moment It was really God.
But have forgotten it again.
Because the world has absorbed them back into her seeming importance and endless distractions.
That saddens us.

Not because We feel ignored, how could that be? We are love and tolerance and comprehensive understanding and We have no ego.

But because those who have seen God and then have forgotten God again, are missing out on so many opportunities and insights and beauty and development and progress. Because they are prolonging their path unnecessarily and because they are increasing their suffering in this manner unnecessarily.

For having seen God and having experienced God and having felt God and then subsequently having acknowledged God, is the most attractive door opening, is the most beautiful window, is the best access and the fastest way to the Kingdom of God on earth.

And our sorrow consists of this, that these people remain in the dark swampy basement of their existence, while the bright, colourful garden of God is awaiting them.
These people are very much blessed.

The predictor of happiness

The psychiatrist / professor Frank Koerselman talks about the spoiled society.
He says, "no matter how beautiful, smart or rich you are, the only predictor of happiness is whether you are able to cope with setbacks."

Actually, this is also the great focus of the spiritual world when one beholds man. How does one react on one’s situation?

We know of the genes.
We know of bad characteristics.
We know of poor conditions.
We know of poverty.
We know of a loveless upbringing.
We know of misfortune.
We know of bad luck.
We know of fate.

And this We  all know, when We behold man.

And all what happens to man is just the key for this only: how does one react on one’s fate? And only this reaction determines how happy one can be.
No wealth.
No prosperity.
Not upbringing.
Not appearance.
No health.
No friends.
No past.

Only this counts:

Does one complain about the acidity of lemons or does one make lemon juice from lemons?
Does one remain a victim or is one going to make something out of it?
Does one blame life or is one accepting one’s fate?
Is one exaggerating the suffering or does one put everything into perspective and is one counting one’s blessings?

And in this all the free will is playing the only role.

Therefore God cherishes and respects that free will.
Only then one can be happy in miserable conditions.
Only then one can be unhappy and at the same time having it all.
Only then one can become a criminal, just by making the wrong choices
Only then one can become a holy man just by making the right choices.
"How does one react on setbacks?" is considered by God to be more interesting than the setback itself.

Nature will stand up for herself

Yesterday I read in the newspaper that by the flow of polluted sludge from iron mines the river Rio Doce in Brazil is polluted totally. The river is completely dead. And the area of her flowing with the size of Portugal has been affected. Common people are in terms of drinking water totally dependent on this river. And the (partially Western ) owners of the mines didn’t  even warn the people or warned them too late.
My God, that's too much, what is mankind causing nature? This can not go on at all?

This will go on, My son. And it will get worse. Even though groups of people are doing their best, mankind wants the economies in the world keep growing. The world is overwhelmed by even more polluting useless things, which are produced in an environmentally harmful way. This pollution is directly caused by the purchasing behavior of mankind, and by many companies, which have only one purpose: to make money by encouraging mankind to buy excessively.

But nature will put mankind a knife to her throat. And it will be stopped, although after yet more destruction, pollution and extinction of plant and animal species. Eventually mankind will be forced in harmony with nature, but it will go unwillingly, because willingly it takes too long.

So be concerned rightly

But do not worry.

Everything has a place and a time. And from the ruins of the world a more conscious mankind will emerge in harmony with a more refined nature.
But for now, the time is at hand that nature mankind will put a knife to her throat, My son.

Nr. 304

There are no virgins waiting for dead terrorists

I am in the monastery of Zundert and hear about the bombings in Paris through my smartphone. So much peace and tranquility I am experiencing in the monastery and at the same time those attacks on innocent people in Paris.
My God, I know that the terrorists are convinced they are righteous, maybe they are acting out of revenge, they for sure belief that Allah is on their site.
Coincidentally in the service Psalm 34 is sung by the brothers, for verse 16 really strikes me:

“but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil,

to blot out their name from the earth.”

Thus says the Lord of the Jews in this psalm about those who do evil.

What are You saying, my God?
What does God say?
What does Allah say?

God and Allah, the Lord of the Jews, Jehovah, even Brahman, they all say the same, for They are ONE.

“but the face of Them is against those who do evil,

to blot out their name from the earth.”

The terrorists kill out of hatred. They are not killing soldiers in a battle, then there is still something to be said, man to man. But they kill innocent civilians who want to be happy and loved ones are waiting innocently at home for their dead beloved ones. These fanatics are not loved by Allah, no virgins are waiting for them in paradise.

What is awaiting them, depending on their state, are darkness and loneliness.

For them are the consequences of their heinous acts.
They crawl around like animals, are trapped in astral pens, await their fate with pain and fear, are baffled about the welcome they will get in the spiritual world.
It is a welcome of hatred because they have sown hatred thus hatred will be reaped.
Even though their fate is temporary, it is for sure not what they have expected.

Terrorists are living in the wrong area.

The area of women.
The area of peace.
The area of education.
The area of open-mindedness,
The area of global consciousness.
The area of growth of the divine spark in the human heart.

Terrorists are living in the wrong area.

And they get just for a while some authority, some power, some prestige.
But they will come more quickly to their downfall than Hitler did.
Because everything is going faster, these times, the decline of evil men as well.
Their existence will extinct on earth.

Be still and know that I Am God

My God, may I ask you something?

Sometimes I am so terribly preoccupied that even talking to you is hard for me.

I know that You are staying in my heart.
I know that You are there.
I know that I always can come to You.
Why then, do You seem to be so far away?

My son, I am never far away. You are regularly going far away.

And then I wait. For I know that you are always coming back.
But then you have entered the world again, and you have left me again.
You are worrying then, and you forgot me again.
You are then directed to the outside world and do not feel any longer that I wait for you in your inner world.
You are dwelling then on the rotating wheel of life and I am waiting then in the axle of Your Self.

My God, I know, I know, what a dork am I.

I'd like to try to come more often to You.
I really want to try to remember more often that You are there in my heart.
I want to remember more often that you are staying there in that secret Inner Castle.
That you are waiting for me in the Rose garden, that Summerhouse of Silence.
I'd like to try to come more often to You.
Would You like to help me with it?
Maybe I'm too impertinent, if I ask You to really may feel that I'm with you, that I am experiencing You. I really need this emotional experience.

My son, come then, and come with great attention, with great confidence, with much silence.

Come and leave the world behind. You're welcome.

I go to that room in the silence of my heart.

And feel nothing.
As for a moment I tend to be impatient and think "there you are, I want too much."
But then I remember. And wait, wait in silence.
And it is silent around me. There is nothing of my ego, no thought, no feeling, no sense of ego, just an I-consciousness, and then I feel God.
I feel a great, loving presence of Space, of Silence, of intense Rust, of Being. And I'm so happy, so pleasantly surprised that I can experience this and I say to God: "Oh my God, are you there, are you still there, can I really always come to you, is it true?"

It is true, and you can experience Me, every time you are doing this. You may experience me, you may experience, that you are in My Bosom, you may trust on this.

Be assured, My son, you have tried enough, you have renounced enough, you've waited enough, you've sacrificed enough, you have let go enough.
Come,  join Me and be welcome in your, for now My heart.

And the following days, every time that I remember this, and I try it, I get touched, I experience God, I'm in the Silence of the Incarnate Love, in the Kingdom of God on earth. Simply, just in my heart. So simple, so close, so true, that I can not believe it.

Humor of life is based on the humor of God

In the spiritual world is much laughter.

We love humor.
The spirit of humor is powerful and is almost always invited.
And why?

Because life is wonderful.

Because creating is wonderful.
Because meeting each other  is wonderful.
Because mutual understanding is wonderful.
Because life is a party.
Because everyone in the house of God is happy, can be happy.
And I do not refer to singing hallelujah all day long, that’s deadly boring.
But because joy is so easy.

And of course in the spiritual world, there are serious, important, complex issues and meetings.

Of course, laughter is not always there.
We are not a cabaret.
But We see more than you do on Earth humor everywhere.
We see more than you do on Earth an opportunity to take life lightly, to keep life lightly.

And on earth bigots, rigid fundamentalists and orthodox bookworms almost invariably have banished the spirit of humor.
Therefore, they have life against themselves.
Therefore, they have mankind against themselves.
Therefore, they have the spiritual world against themselves.

Because humor is life.

And anyone who makes someone laugh on earth, is very blessed by God, despite the fact they are believers or not.

Every deviation is special

I read an interview with psychiatrist Jan Swinkels, who is retiring. This was an important life lesson from his father to him.
Would You like to comment on this?

God used evolution as a method for life to develop itself. And if one thing is extremely obvious then it is this: diversity is everything, is main target, is even sacred. Diversity is everything. On a remote mountain, on a remote island,  is a habitat developing of a rare frog species, a rare flower species and a rare insect species only existing over there and totally dependent of another.

And you mankind cherishes it, finds it wonderful, and is awestruck.

So why is this peculiarity less popular among people?

Why are minorities discriminated?
Why are deviating transgenders, African albinos, deformed, atheists, dissenting fellowmen and other races discriminated, suppressed and sometimes eliminated?
Why?

Every deviation is special

God loves variety.

God loves all that is deviating from the rest.
Because everything deviating is special.
Everything deviating is a symbol for the power and the splendour and the glory of God.
Everything deviating is a symbol for the richness of evolution.

For, everything deviating has potential and can sometimes become the norm in different times.

Hasn’t everything being normal once started as deviation?
Perhaps that’s the reason why mankind is destroying anything deviating? Because it threatens the status quo?
Everything deviating is a total challenge for mankind and can bring a lot.

All that is deviating is cherished by God and by the spiritual world.

The inner world is beyond the outer world (Rilke, 4)

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was God.
Everything starts with a thought, an idea, an ideal, an intention.
And then it grows and is to be nourished by the spiritual world.
And only then matter is following.

And man, man indeed, is beholding matter, and thinks: this is it.

And it is indeed what it is. It is there. And it is powerful, matter, and it is indeed slightly going it’s own way.
Because once put in motion, it has its own laws and rules, God can not arrange really 1 + 1 to be 3. God likes to uphold Its own laws.
God's laws are there.
And matter follows the laws of God.

Still, it all starts with an idea, a plan, an ideal, an intention, and it all starts in the spiritual world.

The spiritual world knows what to do on earth, what steps, what development there is ahead for nature, for mankind, for everything.
And even though free will reigns supremely, and may follow his own path, it is happening all according to the laws of God.
So God knows how it ends up all, to the left, or to the right, but according to God's plan for the earth.

The future enters into us, in order to transform itself in us, long before it happens

And the future is thought by the spiritual world, and invented and planted as a seed in the heart of life, in the heart of man.

And that seed will grow and unfold to life, to man, through and in spite of his free will.
Thus future arrives again and again in you, with the purpose to transform you, long before it becomes visible in your lives.

God sees it happen.

God has patience.
The mills of God grind slowly.
And whatever man does, eventually the seed will grow, and will become powerful, and matter will conform to it and then it becomes visible in life, in nature, in man.

Therefore, what happens in the heart is always a better guidance than what happens in the mind.

For the heart earlier knows what is meant to be than the mind.
So listen with your mind to your heart and let life unfold itself to you.
Rilke is blessed.

Life is great and grand and in every case too big for the ego.

Man with his ego likes to make his world small, clear and tangible.
And that's good. It's pure survival and comprehensible in an uncertain life full of danger.

But then the ego is starting to believe that's it.
And the personality knows and feels there is more to it.
The ego likes to stick to its small and orderly prison.
And the personality knows life around him is greater and mightier and richer than himself.
The ego grabs and wants to control and wants anything to go by.
The personality releases and realizes his limitations.
The ego gropes and grabs and looks for security.
The personality accepts and lets happen and sacrifices.

Therefore Rilke is right, that man must be defeated.

But not man but his ego-prison, just to release him.
He must thoroughly and completely be defeated by life.
But not by a wicked and malicious enemy.

Only just defeated by the full and grand and loving life saying:
Come and experience.
Open your eyes and see.
Leave your small and limited prison behind and step into the great outer world.
Do not be alone anymore and experience the whole.

A large part of the problems, the confusion, the struggle, the problems, the suffering and the sorrow of man is inherent to the evolution of life on Earth. What a hazard, what a diseases, what a risk the human being on earth is experiencing.

But Rilke is referring to the other part of the sadness, the grief, the confusion, the difficulties, he is referring namely to the fight of man against life.
And that is an additional and redundant and unnecessary problem.

When one is adapting, releasing, accepting life in his vehemence, life can also be land earlier, flourish better, produce more, help again someone to follow the right path rather than when one is resisting seriously and fighting dramatically.

Exactly as a doctor will get a splinter out of a wound when one sits quietly. Exactly so.

Let life happen to you

Saying yes to everything, even to the great suffering, the bad luck, to misfortune, to diseases.

Stop fighting against what is, where one has to bear it all, to bear what just is happening.
Acceptance of the negative side of life, because this is what it is.
This attitude gives a lot of space, a lot of relaxation, much quietness.
And thus one can begin sooner to experience the other side of the coin of suffering, the learning experience, the understanding, the empathy, the depth of the emotional life, the gentleness comings forth from suffering.

Believe me: life is in the right, always

My son, this sentence is worthwhile a separate blog. I will try to restrict Myself to the heart of the matter.

Life, of course, is not always right, there is intrinsic to evolution so much randomness, bad luck, misfortune, genetic defect, that life really not always is at the right side, fate is sometimes cruel and ruthless and unbearably difficult.
In that sense, life is not always right.
Even though the spiritual world is working hardly to support man in this situation.

But the poet Rilke is referring to something else.

Life is stronger than man.
Life is imposing itself to man.
Life is greater than man.
Life is determining man.
Life is fulfilling itself in man.
Life is supreme and man is a leaf in the wind.

So ... you better can be flexible, what else?

So ... you better can say yes, what else?
So ... you better can adapt yourself, what else?
And believe Rilke, life in this sense is in his right, always.
Rilke may be blessed.

Rilke is only partially right.

God is the Father-Mother.
God the Father creates and produces and changes and realizes and radiates.
God the Mother  receives and gives birth and loves and supports and cherishes and softens and mitigates pain and sorrow, and heals wounds.
God the Father and God the Mother are not competing for precedence.

Yet Rilke has a point.

Because in today's world, with the men in power, except for some Western countries, the feminine is needed more than ever.
Therefore, the most essential task of God in this era is the task of God the Mother, of the feminine.
Rilke is a poet and an artist, so was having a good intuition.
Rilke may be blessed

God's mills are grinding slowly, but the mills of mankind are grinding even more slowly

This came up some time ago. Was it Your’s?

Certainly it was Mine’s.

The Dutch say this.
But the mills of mankind are grinding even slower.
You all are God's hands on earth.
And if you do not want or do not can or do not see anything, God can only wait.
Or if your eyes only can be opened through difficulty and crisis and problems, God can only wait.
Therefore the mills of God are grinding slowly.
Because those of mankind are setting the pace.

But actually this phrase is referring to something else, namely there is a time for everything.

And God is realizing this better than mankind.
Therefore man is forcing things.
And therefore God is never forcing things.
It is a matter of discretion.
And that's good, for God has more insight than man. That keeps us all busy.
