How does one actually pray?

My God, may I ask You. I personally notice that people struggle with prayer and what they can and cannot ask for, especially when it comes to war, difficulties and misery. A friend said to me, "I'm not going to ask God to take care of me when I'm struggling, just like God doesn't take care of me though and like I'm rebuking God." Well, then I ask You, I of course want to respond to that.

Respond first, my son. 

I said to her, no matter how hard your life is at the moment, and how you pray or what you pray for, in all cases you open even more of a window to the spiritual world through which the spiritual world can better reach you. And God is certainly not offended if you ask “take care of me”, and will not say "Am I not already doing enough?"

Kind of.

So it is, my son, and although there is much to say about it, and in the blogs the subject of prayer has been discussed before, and some things may be repeated endlessly, this is it. 

When a person prays, he opens a window to the spiritual world, and thereby the spiritual world can serve him better, reach him better, influence him more strongly, achieve more than if a person does not pray.

And that is not because God does not know exactly when what is needed on earth, but because man, from his free will, then contributes more to the cooperation between God and man. Prayer is strengthening this cooperation. Shorter and better and more powerful We can't bring it. So you have spoken to your female friend well and honestly and purely. Keep up the good work, my Son.

An Angel gets the TV running again.

My friend Merel told me this story:

'On Saturday afternoon I am a home care worker for a 71-year-old woman with vascular dementia. I'll take care of her lunch and dinner, make sure she drinks enough and keep her busy. But five hours sometimes last a long time with someone who can barely walk, can't concentrate on a book or game, and who is often anxious and is sometimes getting  angry because she can no longer find the words in her head. A beautiful nature film on TV offers a perspective. This afternoon we expected a documentary that seemed worth while.

The TV usually works smoothly. Just before the required time, I turned on the TV. Nothing. No picture, no sound, no signal, just nothing. Death. Tried again. Nothing. Batteries of the remote controlled, plugs checked, everything checked; Nothing..!!!

I started to get a little stuffy; am I promising my client a beautiful movie and then we get this. Plus the foresight of a long afternoon. Help... Uhhhh... Help?? OYES... there are Angels who can help in this! I've read a lot about it so why not ask for help now? So I said half-jokingly to my client but by now with sweaty armpits: "You know what w’ll do? We ask the Angel of technics for help, who knows.!" She smiled a littlebit incredulously "Oh are you....?"

I performed a little show play and turned my eyes to heaven: "Dear technical Angels, Archangel Michael, we want to watch TV so dearly, please help us, just make sure the TV will work again!" And then I heard "Give us three minutes." I kept that to myself at the moment and went to make a cup of tea in a kind of haze. Would it really???

With the tea finally on the table, I grab the remote and... YESSSSS the thing did it again!!! We did a high-five of fun. 

In retrospect, I thanked the Angels extensively. I'm sure heavenly intervention was going on here. It’s impressive that the Heavenly creatures want to work for something so earthy and prosaic. If only we want to ask for help, the Angels are ready to help and guide us."  

So much for my friend Merel. Would You like to comment on this?

That's what I love to do.

It is precisely this situation showing beautifully that people should always call on the angels because in the situations that are the craziest from your perspective they can perhaps mean a lot. I say perhaps, because sometimes in the material world, a mechanic just has to show up. 

What exactly happened to your friend Merel?

Merel has a very low profile relationship with technology, and only one thing has to go wrong whether she blocks, becomes impatient or furious and this all can, not necessarily, affect the technique. But right now her influence was great, precisely because they both needed it so much. There was so much to depend on. And so her influence unwittingly worked very intensely. The remote was blocked by a small piece of dust. But then Merel really put everything she had in storage of heavy energy such as irritation and anxiety into the technique which made the problem worse. The remote was dead and remained dead. Everything was on edge and seemed hopeless.

Only when Merel remembered the angels and honestly asked for help could the following happen: it took three minutes, which is why Merel was ticketed to the kitchen, to dissolve the negative energy, to blow away the piece of dust, after which everything did it again. But Merel had to go to the kitchen because her powers were too great and the angels would be powerless. So not the angel of engineering had arrived, but her own guardian angel could solve and cleanse everything with a simple act.

Also technique listens to the spirit, also matter is subject to spiritual powers. And it was only when Merel and her whole being asked for help, by this transcending her ego and deeming the earthly forces less important than the spiritual forces ( your faith will move mountains) that all blockages could be cleared. In your eyes a miracle, in the eyes of the spiritual world simply use of spiritual powers.

But let this be said: ask and you will be given. The world would be a better place if every person in every situation did what Merel and her client did. Because don't underestimate how much influence the client with dementia had on the process. She was genuinely and sincerely hesitant with her meager brain but with her emotional powers and her heart she was really in a joyful expectation when Merel invoked the angels. And that, of course, helped the guardian angels present enormously.

Five year listening to God and now there will be a book in the autumn

Dear readers of the blog,
five years ago on June 10, 2011, I heard for the first time in a small chapel in Leiden the voice of my Spark of God and understood consciously that I was talking to my Spark of God, my Atman, and that I heard God and that it was a grace to be allowed to go in conversation with God.

Pretty soon God asked me to write down the talks, to report about it, including on the Internet, and since August 26, 2011, I am a messenger of (my) God on the Internet.

Since that time I have been given 335 texts, and they are all on the WatchtheGod blog.

The Dutch blogs have been visited since then 38 522 times.

After two years a separate English blogspot is established and this blog has been visited since that time19 708 times, and the visitors are from more than 80 countries around the world.

Most visits are in sequence of number from the Netherlands, the US, Russia, Slovakia, Germany, Ireland, Ukraine, France, Belgium, United Kingdom, Italy and Sweden.

The planning points to the autumn of 2016.

These five years have been a beautiful and inspiring period, and I am happy and grateful. And I'll love to continue. This is not the end.

A Shinto shrine in Tokyo (Japan, 1)

My God, I have visited on February 16th Atago Jinja*, a Shinto shrine from 1603.  It lies in the heart of Tokyo on a hill. I was overwhelmed by the atmosphere, the old trees, the pond with Koi carp, the different shrines, the corners with memorial stones, the honours, the notes you can dedicate in the temple to the god of fire, god of water, god of the mountains, etc.

It is indeed an overwhelming religion, with a wealth of rituals, forms of God, and especially the most important thing it is a very easy and accessible path to help the common man in his daily life.

All rituals are aimed at nurturing the hope, supporting a searching, surrendering the fate, asking for blessings and obtaining favours.

The powers and forces of God on earth as manifested in the fire and the water, the earth, the spirit of trees, of a mountain, of a city, of a river, the ancestors who stand by in this religion, they are all and immediately available to the believer.

This is one of the reasons that the Japanese on average are becoming the oldest in the world, are eating the healthiest, are having a lot of compassion for nature, compared to other nations. Didn’t you notice how clean the streets are?

The Japanese would feel throwing something on the street, as if he did it in his own home. And that feeling is very correct. You are doing this then at your own home. For the earth is your home, the only home you are having. And this thing I am referring to the garbage on the street, or rather the lack of it, is a symbol of a deeply felt sense of Japanese culture with its surroundings.

The other hand, nuclear energy, the killing of whales, the gambling industry are we saving for another blog.

In almost the same time as the Buddha the revelation of Shintoism arrived on earth, in parallel and independently of this.

And there is almost no religion on earth so exclusively cherished by one nation and used and developed as Shintoism in Japan. Japan is after all an island.

And a monotheist would get sick from it, such multiform religion. God not at all.

For it is true that the monotheistic religions are cherishing the simple truth, that all is stemming from God, and God alone should be worshiped and given thanks.
And it is true that the Shintoists often forget that behind all the powers of all the spirits only God is in charge, only God and nothing else. But there is more to comment on.

The spiritual world only looks at what a person does with his faith.

And then is a Japanese Shintoist with a big heart for his surroundings and being open to the whole spiritual world of more value than a monotheist. For the sake of argument this contradiction is used.

Because this monotheist (Christian, Muslim, Jew) is regularly missing much of the power and splendour of God as shown in the spiritual world on earth and through all Its servants. The wealth of forms, the forces and powers, the variegation of the multitude, of all energies, of inspirations, of radiating energies, of situations, of blessings connected with a cloud, a tree, a river, a flower, a rainstorm. And without feeling this all everything soon becomes a little bloodless.

For the ordinary person is just an ordinary man, developing from ape to spirit, and in the long path of evolution, all those forces and forms and powers are a nice incentive, a tool, an opportunity to move forward, to overcome life , to endure life, to keep hope.

And therefore the spiritual world has welcomed Shintoism very much and will continue to do so.

But it is a key to a hidden spiritual Zen truth.
For  sit quietly for the bunch of flowers you received or purchased.
You look at the flowers and look more extensively to the bunch.
And then the following can happen if you open up for it.

The flowers show their beauty to you and their beautiful colours, their abundance.

And then you see the exceptional form, and the splendour of the making, of the creation.
And then wondering will overcome you, wondering about life, about the special, about the beauty of life, the beauty of the form.
And then you are going to experience one big special force is the basis of these flowers, namely the power of God, Life, that this power is from God, Life, ís God, Life.
And then you will experience that you can not háve these flowers. They are independent from you. That they are from themselves, autonomous, powerful flowering.

That they are in their own beauty.

And then you experience they are connected with you, you are actually together, you are in a unity connected, that they are noticing you as well.

And then you feel that they actually are having you, they have more right to have you than you are having them. Because they are more present than you, less complicated and in more surrender.
And then you learn that you are together, that you are in unity.
And then you feel that you are linked in unity with God, with Life.
And then you experience the unity of God, Life.
And then finally you experience that you and the flowers are not from yourselves, but from God, Life. That God, Life  has you all.

And only then you feel what it means to say spiritually : I have beautiful flowers.

Man can not have a proper understanding of how to pray .
Actually he is just playing around.
He does not know for what he is praying.
He does not know if  it could be asked.
He does not know what the effect is of his prayer.
He does not know how long to pray.
He does not know what the energetic consequences of his prayer are for the one he is praying.
He does not know the impact of his prayer on himself.
He does not know what time it stands for his prayer to be heard.

But….. the spiritual world is always happy with every prayer.
Each prayer is cherished.
To each prayer is listened.
Each prayer is heard as much as possible.
Each prayer has a powerful effect on the one who is praying.
Each prayer is an opening to the spiritual world.
To each prayer will be listened with attention and care.

From the perspective of the spiritual world is each prayer worth his weight in gold.
Each prayer is useful.
Each prayer has an effect , even if it is not heard.
