This tweet actually isn’t correct.
You people make your plans, but God does not determine the steps, that’s what you are doing for yourselves. Even if you haven’t no clue whatever of the consequences of those steps.
Your free will is cherished by God. When man fully, and then I mean: fully has given up his free will and is living permanently: "Thy Will Will Be Done", only then God is determining your steps.
But for 95% of mankind this is not the case. One is following its own human will with all its consequences. Look around, the results in a positive and in a negative way can be observed.
What probably is meant by this tweet is:
"We can make our plans, but God is foreseeing the consequences of our steps and will lead us willing or unwilling into one direction only, towards God”
